Terms of Service
Last updated 9 July 2026 · Effective 9 July 2026
These terms govern your use of the OWNIT website and the general terms of working with us. Project work is governed by the specific written proposal and agreement we sign with you; where that agreement differs from these terms, the signed agreement takes precedence for that engagement. Please read these terms carefully before using the site.
Agreement to these terms
By accessing or using ownit24.com (the “Site”), or by engaging OWNIT for services, you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, please do not use the Site. If you use the Site or engage us on behalf of a business, you confirm you are authorised to accept these terms for that business.
Who we are and what we do
OWNIT is a custom software studio. We design and build websites, booking systems, CRMs, chatbots, AI assistants, automations and custom software, and hand them over as assets our clients own. The Site is a marketing and information resource; engaging us for a project creates a separate contract set out in your proposal and agreement.
Eligibility and acceptable use
You may use the Site for lawful purposes only, to learn about our services, book a call or send a brief. You agree not to:
- Use the Site in any way that breaks the law or infringes others’ rights.
- Attempt to disrupt, overload, reverse-engineer or gain unauthorised access to the Site or its systems.
- Scrape, copy or reuse Site content or code except as expressly permitted.
- Submit false information, spam, malware or content you do not have the right to share.
Bookings, quotes and no-obligation calls
A booked strategy call is a free, no-obligation conversation. Any figures or timelines discussed before a signed agreement are indicative. Project pricing, scope, milestones and any optional care plan are fixed in a written proposal before work begins, and nothing on the Site is a binding offer until we both sign that agreement.
Fees, payment and care plans
For client engagements, fees, payment schedule and milestones are set out in your agreement. Unless stated otherwise, invoices are due within the period specified, and work or handover may pause on overdue payment. Any optional monthly hosting, maintenance or support plan is billed separately and can be cancelled on the notice stated in the agreement, without losing what you already own.
Ownership and intellectual property
The core OWNIT promise is that you own what we build for you. On completion of a project and receipt of final payment, ownership of the deliverables, source code, data and accounts we create for you transfers to you, as set out in your agreement. You may keep, modify and move your system freely.
Until final payment, we retain ownership of work in progress. We may reuse general skills, know-how and non-client-specific components (such as internal tooling and libraries) across projects. This Site’s own content, brand, name, logos and code remain the property of OWNIT and are protected by intellectual property laws; using the Site does not grant you any rights in them.
Your responsibilities
To deliver on time and to spec, we rely on you to:
- Provide accurate information, content and materials, and the rights to use them.
- Give timely feedback and approvals at agreed points.
- Grant the access we need to third-party accounts and services for your project.
- Ensure your use of the delivered system complies with the laws that apply to your business.
Third-party services
Our work and the Site may integrate with or link to third-party services (for example payments, calendars, email or hosting). We are not responsible for third-party services, their availability or their terms, and your use of them is governed by their own agreements.
Illustrative figures, no outcome guarantees
Example metrics on the Site (such as “+40% more bookings” or typical savings) are illustrative and based on past work, not promises. Real results depend on your business, market, inputs and effort. We do not guarantee any specific commercial outcome.
Warranties and disclaimers
The Site is provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement, to the fullest extent permitted by law. For client projects, the specific warranties we give are stated in your agreement, and those apply in place of anything on the Site.
Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, OWNIT is not liable for indirect, incidental, special or consequential losses, or for lost profits, revenue, data or goodwill, arising from your use of the Site. For client engagements, our total liability is limited as set out in the relevant agreement. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law, such as for fraud or death or personal injury caused by negligence.
Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold OWNIT harmless from claims, damages and reasonable costs arising from your misuse of the Site, your breach of these terms, or your infringement of another party’s rights.
Term and termination
These terms apply while you use the Site. We may suspend or restrict access if you breach them or misuse the Site. Termination of a client engagement is handled under your agreement; provisions that by their nature should survive, including ownership, payment, disclaimers and liability, continue after termination.
Governing law and disputes
These terms are governed by the laws applicable to OWNIT’s place of business, without regard to conflict-of-law rules, unless a mandatory consumer or local law provides otherwise. For client engagements, the governing law and dispute-resolution process in your signed agreement control. We would always rather resolve any concern directly, so please contact us first.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms as our services or the law change. The “last updated” date above reflects the current version. Continued use of the Site after an update means you accept the revised terms.
