Which living room would you rather come home to?

No wrong answers. Go with your gut.

    Mood board Example board

An example board. Yours replaces it as you pick.

An empty room, finished the way we work.

Here is a bare front room with good bones. Scroll, and we will furnish it one layer at a time, in the same order we do it in your house.

    1. Rug

      Ground it with a rug

We start on the floor. A vintage Persian, sized so the sofa's front legs sit on it, pulls the seating together.

    2. Sofa

      Choose the one big piece

Emerald velvet, deep enough for a Sunday nap. Every other choice in the room takes its cue from here.

    3. Art

      Hang art for the room

About two thirds the sofa's width, a hand's width above it. The pink is the room's first surprise.

    4. Light

      Layer the light

A floor lamp in the dim corner with warm bulbs, so evenings feel as good as afternoons.

    5. Plants

      Bring the garden in

A fiddle leaf fig between the windows and a bird of paradise for height. New Orleans light can handle both.

    6. Finish

      Finish with what people remember

Oleander pillows, a small side table and fresh hydrangeas. All placed on one install day.

An empty front room with tall windows, crown molding and oak floors

The finished room: a navy Persian rug, an emerald velvet sofa with pink pillows, a large pink abstract painting, a floor lamp, a fiddle leaf fig, a bird of paradise and a side table with hydrangeas.

    Sample client notes

We lived with boxes in the front room for two years. Eight weeks with Celeste and it finally looks like us.

    Danielle, Uptown

The e-design list was so clear we set up the whole room in a weekend.

    Priya, Lakeview

She kept my grandmother's armoire and built the bedroom around it.

    Questions we hear a lot

Something else on your mind? Call the studio at (504) 555-0186, Tuesday to Saturday.

Do I have to replace everything I own?

No. Most of our projects keep the pieces that matter. We design around family furniture and mix in new where it counts.

    How does e-design work?

You send photos, measurements and your style quiz board. About two weeks later you get a mood board, a floor plan and a shopping list with links. Two rounds of changes are included.

How long does a room take?

Design takes about four weeks. Furniture lead times run from two to fourteen weeks, and we book one install day once everything has arrived.

Can you work with my contractor?

Yes. We send finish schedules and drawings and can walk the site with your contractor. We are designers, not a general contractor.

    Is the consult really free?

The 30 minute video consult is free. An in-home walk-through is $150 and comes off your design fee if we work together.

Do you work outside New Orleans?

In-home design covers Orleans and Jefferson Parish. E-design works anywhere in the US.
